Aeriss Fletcher is not a 'normal' individual. He is not able to calmly stand in a crowd, he is not someone who can freely speak to strangers, and it is impossible for him to remain relaxed around other people. Aeriss is a boy who has struggled throughout his life, with a disorder that has kept him encaged within the confinements of his own self built barriers. Because of this, Aeriss had been homeschooled. With his mother running a large retail corporation, they had the money and the countless resources to support Aeriss's needs, and allow the online education courses to take place. Therefore, it was never a problem to have Aeriss avoid contact with others. So despite the unavoidable family events, and occasional anxiety ridden outings with his mother, Aeriss felt that he really didn't need to be social with other people. Although, this convenient life slowly came to a petrifying halt when Aeriss learned that his mother was losing money fast, and her company was slowly drowning alongside them. With money being a growing concern, Aeriss's expensive online courses were no longer an option available to them. Which left them with one desperate choice, and that was for Aeriss to enter the public high school system. With this unavoidable issue at hand, Aeriss understood that there was not much he could do but self isolate until that dreaded first day of class. The first day he would step into a building with hundreds of other people, unprepared, and completely alone. But then, his therapist had an idea. The Buddy System. What if Aeriss had a friend that could be there alongside him throughout his school days, and help ease his anxiety? Someone he was familiar and comfortable with? It would be surprisingly simple to make a request to the school district and have them fit Aeriss's schedule into that of his friend. But there was one issue with this plan. Aeriss didn't have any friends. Although, of course, that was until he met Grayson Devaroux.

'𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐧𝐚' - 𝘢 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦, 𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵. | | ᥉tartᧉ꯭d ; 11/05/25 [ dd/mm/yy ] | ╰────────────────── •ᯓᡣ𐭩 Isaac Caden moved through life with a quiet emptiness he couldn't quite name, a subtle 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗻𝗮 carved into the center of his being. He remembered faces without voices, moments without meaning - like snapshots from a film with the sound turned off. Isaac never let anyone nor himself see what he truly felt; his emotions were locked away behind an unshakable calm, as if revealing them would only make the emptiness inside him more real. People said he was an asshole, distant, always somewhere else, but the truth was simpler: something was missing, a piece of himself that had slipped away long ago. And though he didn't know what it was, he felt its absence in every silence, every unanswered question, every dream he couldn't quite remember when he woke up. Isaac never thought he would understand himself internally, he wasn't even sure that there was anything beneath his shell, he felt hollow - like there was nothing special about his existence. Purely floating through life without meaning. After a long time of trying to read himself, he gave up. He didn't care to understand anymore, he thought there was no reason for him being on this earth - he was then brutally slapped in the face with hard proof that he was wrong. ────୨ৎ──── 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: This story contains harsh topics and language, if any of the following disturbs you, do not read.
