What happens when Kair, a trained assassin, is sent to kill the king? Should be easy right? Other than the fact that she'll have to overcome 7 irritatingly attractive and dangerously intelligent knights.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you right now." A cold voice crept through the cave's frosty chill.
I slowly turned around to meet Yoongi's unrelenting eyes. They were darker, more tired, as if he hadn't slept in weeks. However, behind the cold exterior, they also held a vivid array of emotions: uncertainty, frustration, denial, anger, and pain. He stood several feet away from me, as if too scared to come closer.
Slowly raising my arms in exhausted defeat, I replied in a soft whisper, "I don't have one."

This is a SLOW book. With a plotline that focuses a lot on character development & relationship building WITH TONS AND TONS OF FORESHADOWING. Then it picks up ALL AT ONCE towards the end and you'll feel like sh*t keeps getting thrown at you.
