It's dark. She could only hear but cannot move any of her limbs nor talk or even see anything. For that moment, it was as if all her senses were shut forcedfully- leaving her only with her hearing. She could feel the bobbing motion of the car moving to some place.

However, the situation did not faze her. She'd been calm althroughout that the people that took her wondered if she was even awake.

Why? Well, she's used to situations like this. Blindfolded. Transported somewhere. Threatened to be killed if they-and I mean her family-does nothing. And all those useless shit.

It was the fate of someone-moreover a woman-who belonged to a family such as hers.

He saw her for perhaps seconds, across a filled room, even then she had managed to stop time. Customers, sales assistents and even security, all frozen. Eyes followed the group across the shop floor and down the elevator. Captivated. 3 men: tall, dark and handsome dressed in cool beige linen suits had immediatly flanked her as she emerged from the restroom. The word "polished" came to mind. As if they had stepped out of photo shoot. Chiselled jaws, clear skin and darkly composed looks, which occasionally drew back to the women in their midst. And who could blame them, she was striking. It was the only way to desribe her, she possessed features beyond comparison; pixie haired, alabaster skin. A woman with eyes the colour of sage. A woman, more fae than mortal. Graceful and demure. And completely unaware of the effect she had on her surroundings. She nodded to the men to show she was ready to go and they moved together. The men at her sides spoke with an air of polite familiarity that was puzzling. Brothers? Maybe. One could be a husband? It was unclear as they all seemed drawn to her. Bodyguards? No- there was a look of mixed affection, respect and something else- longing as if they cherished her somehow. It was a remarkable incident that was seared into his memory. For yearis he had remained captivated by it. Then she reappeared. She was different. . . Her hair was longer, hung in a velvety curtain at her shoulders and she seemed infinitely more amiable. He knew then he had to have her. He wasnt the man he had been 10 years ago. ‐---------- Please do not plagiarise my work xxx Many thanks to everyone who has adding this title to their reading list xxx

Tainted- affect with a bad or undesirable quality. My past is tainted along with my present, My future is tainted me forever a peasant. But worst and most morbidly and treacherous of all, My love is tainted and that will be my final fall. Kira's tainted and undesirable past has damned her future to the depths of fear and hiding. Death follows her around like a stench and seems to consume all of those who she holds too closely, forcing her to keep a safe distance from all around her but her family who is in just as deep as she is. Jesse's tainted and undesirable past has done the exact same thing. His past made protection and care blossom in his chest for anyone who may cross his path. Especially when the new girl and her brother who have a knack for lying begin to catch his attention and his perceptive eyes begin to catch onto their deadly secrets. Keeping secrets is her forte, but soon her brother's new best friend takes an interest in her life and watches her every move, what happens when he catches onto her secrets, will all the pieces start to fall into place and the lies turn into truths? +++ "The name's Jesse," he extends his hand for me to take. I glare down at his gesture and then my eyes slowly travel up his body and soon I get to his dark green eyes which I remember as black but up close I realize now they're a forest green. "What the hell are you doing in my room?" my voice comes out cold and demanding, which seems to entertain him because his smirk turns into a full on grin and he lets out a short laugh. "I was looking for the bathroom and got lost pipsqueak," he grins at me. "Last time I checked my bedroom didn't have a toilet in it now get out," I growl lowly. "Make me."
