The year is  3046 (I did that on purpose, initiates) Though it seems as if time has worked in reverse. There is no technological advance, there is almost no technology at all. In the small town of Ohio, almost everyone is suffering. Food is scarce, as is work. The people of this town think there is no way that anything else can go wrong, that was, until the war. Now, everyone, men and women age 13-20 are being drafted to defend their homeland.

MayLee Brooks is only fifteen years of age when the first war broke out. Women have never been drafted, until now. She will have to overcome loss and betrayal, all in pursuit of protection her home. She will make unexpected friends, enemies, and may even find true love. She may become An Angel With A Shotgun. That is, if she lives.
