Amy, Philip, Marcus, and Ashley along with Julia are in danger of being caught by the evil Twister John. John, the evil brother-in-law of Egor, the father of all Tinkerers, is planning on capturing all of the known Tinkerers and killing them all. He wants to become the most powerful Twister in the world. But he can't do that without the rings of the Tinkerers.
The gold ring with an orange diamond is the key to becoming the most powerful Twister in the world.
Julia and the Harper family are on the run; trying to avoid getting caught by John. Julia turns to some old friends of hers to help them stay in the down low for awhile until John loses interest in finding them.
But one night when the gang is all sleeping at Julia's friends house, the Twisters find them and attack.
Julia and the family try to escape, but they soon come to find out that they are trapped and surrounded by Twisters.
Julia tries to open a portal, but she can't because the orange diamond had fallen off her ring. Without the diamond on the ring, they're stuck and trapped.
John now has the upper hand by taking everybody hostage, and interrogating them all. He's more interested in Julia because she's the second most powerful Tinkerers besides Egor.
Phillip tries to help out by pulling out his wife's ring and putting it on, but the ring rejects him. Amy then takes the ring from Phillip and puts it on only to find out that she's the descendant of a former Tinkerer. Little did Amy know, is that her grandmother Susie was a Tinkerer herself. That's why she wanted the camera so badly.
