An age ago, an army made their way from the Old Lands into Thelduin. This army conquered, then thrived. Now the descendants of this army rule Thelduin, but the line of succession is blurred. The King has rivals that refuse to show their faces, but always hover near his throne. This King only has one descendant, a son. A son who seemingly refuses to marry. Caught up in all of this is Verno Rener, the First Guardian. Verno Rener has been tasked with guarding the royals since his old travelling friend claimed the throne, and of course, he must protect visiting nobles. Yet, he failed to protect the Prince's intended. Now, with the help of this Prince, he has to find her.
