Emma Keating is a fox shifter, just like every other first born female in her family. She cherishes her ability to shift, and like her fox, loves the outdoors and everything that comes with it. But when a poorly planned camping trip ends in a kidnapping, what Emma loves about the forest might just become her downfall.
Octavian Hawkins is an alpha with a dark secret. Only alphas are awarded the privilege of having a mate, and Octavian will do whatever it takes to keep his future mate safe. So when he finds Emma wandering the woods at night, lost and alone, he takes her home with him, determined to keep her there until she accepts him.
