"What the hell happened to your face?" I gasp, covering my mouth in horror. "It looks even worse than before."
Skye stands frozen in the doorway, sporting a black eye and an angry gash on his left cheek as his hand lingers on the doorknob. His hair is all tousled up and he's wearing the expression of a five year old caught stealing candy.
"W-what are you doing up at this time of the night?" he feebly attempts to change the topic.
"The better question would be why do you look like you ran into a bunch of violent stray cats?" I wonder out loud, not caring to drop the suspicion from my tone.
"I...ermm...," he scratches the back of his neck thoughtfully. "I tripped over a... potato..on the street...and...yeah I grazed myself."
"Doesn't explain the black eye."
"That.." he grits his teeth. "Actually, I fell face-first onto the potato and..got it.." he adds lamely, not meeting my eyes
"Potatoes," I scoff, shaking my head in disbelief. "You could do better."

There's a reason why superheroes and supervillains aren't supposed to live together.
Cassidy Miller, aka FastFreeze, is barely surviving six months of working in a superhero-crime-fighting-team when it's time for college. To her greatest dismay and due to certain circumstances, she ends up sharing a dorm room with Skye Howard, aka The Breaker, a secretive arrogant boy with horrible lying skills who just happens to be working in the rival supervillain league. Of course, both of them are oblivious to each other's secret identities and superpowers. Most nights, either one of them comes home injured from a battle and the other stitches up their wounds despite the lame excuses and an unlikely friendship starts to bloom or maybe even more. But what will happen if they both find out who they really are?
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
