When 14 year old Sammy wakes up one day she finds herself in a scary world full of monsters, strange looking villagers, and a dude named Steve.  She has no idea how to protect herself, to fish, hunt, or farm for food. She doesn't speak the language of the land and the only person capable of helping her is always disappearing. The worst part of her first adventure - she's all alone. She must learn the tools of the craft, fight her way through the hellish realm of The Nether, and defeat the dragon in The End before she can return home.

One day, however, Lord Enderdragon puts Zombie #56 on lookout duty for players. His first opportunity to explore the over world. With the help of his longtime friend Jerry the Creeper, they travel together to the over world to search out the players, and find out for real if they really exist. As their travels continue, however, they start noticing strange occurrences and dangerous creatures. Soon, it is clear that there is something dangerous lurking on the world, and not everything is as it seems.
