At the age of 5 she is gifted to the the prince Dival on his 16th birthday. Over the years with her on a leash beside him he grows to love the young girl but his father a cruel king punishes her whenever the prince is out of sight. On one such day the king sends her to be adjusted, a cruel way in which emotion is stripped to improve behaviour except Ari has never had bad behaviour. Fortunately for Ari the car is ambushed by rebels to the crown.
