They both start to become close and feelings are evolving but when he realises the wall that separates him from the world is crumbling down, he quickly builds it up before Mystieana can really get to know him.
But fate makes it harder for him to keep his wall stable, as it keeps bringing them back together. Things become even harder for Mystieana when the resial's around the corner and a malum is lurking around.
