This short story was originally published on my Tumblr page almost exactly two years ago. It was part of a (sadly failed) 30 day writing challenge. I found the challenge on Chrys Fey's blog: http://writewithfey.blogspot.ca/2013/07/chrys-feys-30-day-writing-challenge.html

This was the first task: "Start a Piece with "Once upon a time..."

Basically, this is what happens when I've been thinking about how I should be writing and then I get prompted to write.. it's a little meta..

(Currently drafted) For the sake of sanctity, you and most characters including Link will be 18+ present time. ▲ ▲ ▲ I always felt such a bond with him, one that ran deep like the temple of Lake Hylia, or so I've heard. Among the rest he was the only human I'd ever felt close to. But there was a problem. That bond only ran so deep as it hit steel within Link's soul, that of which never once had truly allowed passage of my being. I've always felt that perhaps our fondness of one another was barely mutual, but it became apparent to me the moment I felt his soul falter and stop dancing with mine. I thought I was his best friend. What was the reason? ▲ ▲ ▲ The soul is the only thing the hero carries along his reincarnations, bound to Hyrule's aid by the goddess Hylia. ▲ ▲ ▲ ⚠️ A slow burn romance. You're in for a weird ride. Also, story may not be for you if you personally do not like large Y/N character development. (Story is in the making, expect possible changes of story) Disclaimer: I do not own you or any of the characters accounted for. You belong to yourself of course, and the rest of TP's characters to Nintendo. Very few OC's will be present for plot development.

Great! But who are you to judge? Fair question. This is not to humble-brag, but I've been critiquing and have worked with story development for quite some time, and I've picked up a lot along the way. ☙ - As an Ambassador, I work on content projects. ☙ - If you look at my profile, you'll see everything I've published so far has managed to standout in one way or another, whether by leading me to become a Wattpad Star; or by winning a Watty (twice!); or by being picked as a Top 10 in major Wattpad contests (twice!); or being featured. All I'm saying is I'm no slouch. I'm not brilliant either. But I've got some experience around what can catch an agent, editor, or judge's eye, and I'd like to share that with the community. ☙ - In another lifetime, I used to work for HBO in Development and at ICM (the talent agency) in their writers' department which means I understand how professionals quickly gauge whether or not they'll take a closer look at a work and/or make an offer. This kind of insight can be helpful if you're planning to submit your work or even just want to stand out more here on Wattpad. ☙ - I used to provide critiques for three writers, all of them traditionally published. They seemed to value my insight. Read the RULES, LOGISTICS & PRIZES chapter for guidelines. All entries get a brief assessment of their first chapter, with winners getting more extensive critiques.
