The average human being spends every second of his day fighting against the force of nature to see another day. But I'm different. I'm not afraid of outside forces to take my life away - only myself. Approximately 10 years ago, something happened to me. Something really bad. But I'm not allowed to talk about it. As a way to release my frustration, I give hell to my body and everyone I come in contact with - especially my parents. No one knows about what happened except the ones who did it...and Him. But he didn't stay. Now, he's back and he's not talking either. I want to stop hurting, I need to stop. Make me stop.

Walking into an empty house is normal to me. I guess I got tired of saying 'I'm home' when nobody is home to reply. It wasn't always like this. I remember when our family was close. Now we don't see each other any more. We don't talk to each other. We don't eat with each other. We don't ACKNOWLEDGE each other. This all happened after my 'Mother' killed herself. My father blames me. This is my story about how I learned to not count on anyone else but myself. I'm broken. I'm used. No one can fix me. But when the New Boy in town tries to fix me, everything will change. Good change or Bad change, I don't know. Only time will tell. Love. As 'beautiful' as love can be it hurts and bleeds. If you're unlucky you may even love the very person you know you can't have. The best friend, The distant boyfriend, The sisters friend, The brothers friend, The ex best friend, Love isn't always given back the way you gave it. Leaving you with half a heart as the person you gave your half too never gave you their half back. But what if someone else has another half to make yours whole again?

I've always believed I can make a difference. The faith I have in this is unwavering. When I came home on my tenth birthday to find my mother's fragile mental state swinging into crazed, I still believed I could help. I thought it was a problem of my making, and I've lived my life trying to remedy the mistake every since. Never mind that I don't know what I did. Never mind that she hits me and yells. Forget the fact that I sometimes want to die because I feel so worthless. Ignore all of that because this one idea is all I can think about. Making a difference in her life and others' lives consumes me. But will it destroy me too? Maybe. Maybe not. I'll find out when I reach the breaking point. As to where that point is? Only time will tell. The only thing I know for sure anymore is that I have to try to make up for my sins, whatever they are. And until I do that, I doubt I'll ever find my peace.

People say it will get better. But to be fair, most of them never were in your place. They say you will get happy again, but how can they know? I've struggled with trauma, mental illnesses, and self harm for many years. These are (mostly) poems - about me and my journey of getting better. ! As this is about self harm and other previously mentioned topics, it might be triggering. I don't glorify it in any way, though. I'm also not a native English speaker. If you find any mistakes, please tell me so I can improve.

-Let's get this straight. From a dead end job to a useless crazy ex boyfriend- my happiness is with my best friend yet the fear of our relationship ending completely scares me and id rather fake it and be in fear than find out and never be happy. It sucks, seeing him everyday and knowing what i feel for him and how deep those feelings go is painful...- But when he comes around everything changes for the best and for the worst. As a whole they are deeply loved and equally as hated by others but the love from one another is undeniable, if only she wasnt so selfish with her choices and words- -Lying, cheating, sneaking, crying- many acts and emotions come from within when there's someone you love unaware of that love.. Possibly growing to love someone else right before your eyes..Its gut wrenching, i know because ive fucked up. Its worse when you're aware of the harm you cause yourself and others but dont care how the outcome turns out to be. Why would it matter how it effects you if youre used to pain and people leaving? it wouldnt. All because you take comfort in your own mind and mental illness, once you realize you have freewill it may become a bad thing if youre careless.- - Gabriella White.

Angel is slowly falling apart, trying to hide it from not only himself, but trying to convince himself that he doesn't need help. But one particular demon comes into his life, determined to make a change of things. How would it work out though, and most importantly how would he escape from the hell of his broken mind?
