Elise Rivers is an eigth grader at Marshall Middle School, which is the only middle school located in the small town of Woodcaster, Massachusetts. Her life is driven by her favorite hobby; figure skating, but also her friends and family, especially her best friend, who she met when she first moved to Woodcaster, Tabitha. They swore that nothing would tear them apart, but Elise shouldn't be so sure about that, because Tabitha changes, and she isn't liking it. Elise does something to Tabitha that she ends up regretting a lot. She did something to her without thinking, and never confessed that she was the one who did it. But Tabitha's also keeping things from Elise, too. Who knows what will happen when everything is revealed?

Graduation is right around the corner for Ada Sinclair. She's spent all of high school saving up for her dream college and skipped high school traditions to keep her grades up for scholarships. When the acceptance letter came in the mail, every ounce of her effort felt worth it. She's spent her life being a small fish in a small pond, but eagerly awaits September so she can spread her wings and move on to big things. When her mother comes home to reveal she is in the early stages of Huntington's Disease, a disease passed down from her own mother, she can't hide from the truth she may be next in line. It is then that her plans and dreams for her future shatter. Nothing is more important to her than her family, people who need her and her strength more than Ada needs her dreams. Not knowing how much time she has left with her mother, she makes the choice to remain at home and has no regrets. Only the fear of uncertainty. Feeling like the world is crashing down on her, Ada turns to the man who's been there for her for the last four years. He'd given her the confidence she needed to become the woman she is now, held her while she cried and has been there through every struggle she's faced. He seems fully willing to be there for her again, even if that means risking his career as a teacher; her teacher. As their friendship grows stronger, they find strength in one another and a connection they can only ignore for so long, a connection that comes with life-changing consequences for them both.

Once upon a time, smartphones were not essential, and wifi did not exist. Can you imagine what you could do with your time without endless video scrolling? You, yes you, the one with this book in your hand. You look perfect for the task. A task that Regina George wannabes Lauren and Sophie couldn't do. Ashley needs friends. The ones who love her for being herself, and you seem perfect for the job. But not now. We are taking an adventure and heading back to 2004. Relive the days when teenagers stayed out until the streetlamps turned on. When music was great, fashion changed daily, and life was simple. I said simple, not easy. Never been kissed, sixteen-year-old Ashley Prince wants to be popular like her friends. Well, she thought she did. So much so that she lost her identity in doing what she was told by Regina George wannabes and her overbearing parents. Constantly babysitting and never having fun, missing out on all those truths, dares, and spin-the-bottle games. But then Olly moves in next door. It isn't until her eyes set on him that her heart sets on fire, and sparks fly when they cross paths. He is like no one she has met before, not only handsome but kind. And with a new friend like that, her confidence soars. Meeting Olly not only saves her life but changes it forever. But is he so perfect? Kyle has something to say about that. Who's Kyle Well, there has to be a villain, doesn't there? Is it him? The badass, moody skater boy? Or is it the bullies, her parents, or somebody else? Grab your flares, skateboard, boombox, and alcopops and walk the streets till dusk, roam the school grounds, party and break a few rules along the way. Can Ashley break free and discover that there is more to popularity and find her true self? Let's find out how Ashley's summer turns out with the boy next door. Content/Trigger warning: This book mentions self-harm and depression in minor detail and coming-of-age experiences. Copyright © CreativeHemsy 2022

This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
