17 year old Kriss has watched her big sister Shontay and her parents fight for as long as she can remember. After Tay moves away from their suburban home in Little Rock, Arkansas to Santa Monica, California she goes almost 6 years without seeing her big sister she always looked up to. But it's not long before Kriss starts to follow in her sister's foot steps and she is kicked out and sent to live with Tay, Tay's husband Lou, and her son Kree. Kriss builds a strong bond with her Tay. While she teaches her things about life that her parents never wanted her to know.
