Abigail Garcia was starting her new life. Needing a college education-and a fresh start-she finds refuge in Seal Beach, California. Her plan was to make a few friends, do good in her classes, and try to start living peacefully. No more surviving. She was living quietly, fulfilling her New Life Rules, enjoying the sun, and focusing on getting her degree.

Until she meets him. If you can qualify spilled coffee and stained shirts a meeting.

Chance Perez. A down to earth guy with a dream and a past. Kinda like Abigail. Although, she probably beats him at the whole "dark past" thing.

Will their similar differences clash or unite? What will happen when Abigail's used-to-be-out-of-the-picture ex comes back with a vengeance? Maybe this new, latte loving boy, could be her last chance.
