"Wren, you're special. That's really the only way I can describe your situation. The thing is..." He hesitated for a long excruciating moment, reflecting on what to say next. "The thing is, your parents died while you were very young, and that is why you came to me." Arden ran his hands through Wrens wavy, dirty blonde hair as she sat there emotionless. He was not sure if he should stop, but continued because she will have to know at some point, "They died fighting for our layer, they are heroes back home. The concept is very hard to grasp, and there is no easy way to explain it. Are you ready to understand Wren?"
The child looked up at Arden with her blue eyes and he saw a glimpse of determination like never before. She nods her head before he continues on.

Wren is next in line for her family of Royals. She has been swept away for her safety, until the age of 18, when she gets to return to her home layer. There are an infinite amount of layers, or dimensions, that coexist at the exact same time on top of one another. She has been raised on Earth, or the 7th layer, but her family is royalty on layer 21. On her layer, her grandfather is currently ruling and she is next in line, as her mother was killed when Wren was a baby. The layers have been at war for a very long time but are now united. As Wren starts to understand her duties and figure out her mothers death, she starts to discover that not everything is as it seems. She is determined to find out who killed her mother, and in doing so she is angering very dangerous people. Wren begins to understand that she cannot trust everyone, and looks for help from her protector, Dekland, who she begins to develop feelings for, and her best friend Abitha, who is her loyal sidekick. Will Wren be able to get a grasp on her new duties, found out who killed her mother, and stop those who are trying to hurt her and her loved ones before she finds out the truth?
