She lives in a world in which it's not impossible to see an individual with magic, but those who are blessed with the gift of magic are rare, unique, and specifically chosen by a force out of their control. When the gift of magic is bestowed upon an individual, it is a sign of high will and strength within their hearts when they're born. Some take weeks to show their powers, some can take a lifetime. As for Hiyori Yaboki, hers showed in Kindergarten, and with the years, she's discovered it's been called Light Magic. Light Magic is a rare - and difficult to control - type of magic. She can use it, but only when brought to extreme heights of her emotions. She seeks the help of her best friends - Asuka, Takashi, and Haru - to help her find out how to make her ability useful. But things seem to take a turn when a student from her high school suddenly gets involved. How will this affect her friendships and her magic?

The Compound
Magic? Nope. Hidden towns? Definitely not. Sexy mentors? Well.... oh, go on then. One minute, I'm stacking shelves, and the next, I'm whisked away to some mad place in the middle of the woods, being told I have powers. Sounds like a bad acid trip, right, but it turns out there's a lot of things that have been hiding in plain sight. Faye was just minding her own business until she bumped into a group of strangers on a night out. They open her eyes up to a whole new world full of magic and take her to the place she is to call home from then on, the compound. There are compounds all over the world hidden from the regular human eye. When she arrives, her life is full of drama, trying to learn about her gifts, make new friends, and simply just stay alive. Her mentor is supposed to be there to help her through things, but will he make her life easier or more complicated? My guess is the latter, but he is so gorgeous that a little complication is a small sacrifice to make. Dane just wants to get left alone. Ever since losing his brother, he's not been quite the same. The Noble Academy has a group of people that are born with special abilities besides the other humans. They are called Elementals. These people are at the top of the school. So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Fearing that she can be a dangerous threat as she controls very strong powers. A dangerous power is approaching and not all the Elements can defeat them.
