She lives in a world in which it's not impossible to see an individual with magic, but those who are blessed with the gift of magic are rare, unique, and specifically chosen by a force out of their control. When the gift of magic is bestowed upon an individual, it is a sign of high will and strength within their hearts when they're born. Some take weeks to show their powers, some can take a lifetime. As for Hiyori Yaboki, hers showed in Kindergarten, and with the years, she's discovered it's been called Light Magic. Light Magic is a rare - and difficult to control - type of magic. She can use it, but only when brought to extreme heights of her emotions. She seeks the help of her best friends - Asuka, Takashi, and Haru - to help her find out how to make her ability useful. But things seem to take a turn when a student from her high school suddenly gets involved. How will this affect her friendships and her magic?

She was different. Nobody liked different. Kenzi was a (almost) normal high school girl. Had a handful of friends. Got okay grades. But she got dirty looks from kids in the halls. She got shoved outside of school. She was rumored to have powers. Powers that can stop time. Jay was your (almost) normal high school boy. Caption of the foot ball team, had Many friends. But he was cut off from most people. He was different. But he didn't let people know that. ..... At Maple Wood high its like living inside a movie. All the popular girls were cheerleaders, all the popular boys were jocks. But being different, that was a big no. Everybody here had a place, well not everyone.
