 Bull

We hope to leave that arena on our own two feet, our lungs still strong and our heart still beating. We hope those animals do the same as they are us but walk on four. We hope that our families will be watching and cheering from the stands, even if it doesn't go as planned. We hope that we all walk away with a smile as we survived another day.

Jo Cid is chasing her dreams as a young and coming rodeo star. Although she leaves the barrels to her sister, the broncs to her brother, and the bulls to the riders. Her and her close and only friend Colt Tanon are the ones on the ground, helping the cowboy get away from the raged animal they were brave enough to sit eight seconds on.

But it's not all about the bulls and arena, somebody catches Jo's attention and she's caught theirs too.

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations. While others her age are embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! Alex is a 17 year old barrel racer who is moving into a new home away from everything she knew. Even tho the move is hard, she puts her focus into rodeo and her horses. She has no time for boys or rules. Only rodeo. Her dream is to make it to the NFR but for now she's trying to keep up with high school rodeo. When she gets into a wreck it sets her back a show and causes her to lose points that she desperately needed in high school rodeo. Can she get back those points and qualify for the NFR? And can she keep her focus on rodeo? ****************************************************** "Serves you right." I laugh before I looked up and he pushed me against the counter and set the glass down beside the apple. "Then this serves you right." Was all he whispered and I backed up completely to the cabinet and he placed his hands on the counter on either side on my body. "Um... S-Sammy? What are you doing?" I panicked looking anywhere but at him. "Look at me." He whispered and tilted my chin up to face him with his index finger.
