Growing up in the Caribbean he'd never had the chance. Never until he'd moves to New York. Sure, he dreamed about seeing snow. But he never imagined that it was so cold. Yeah, it was pretty and all, but it was way too cold. The first year was the worst, but each year made Alexander dislike snow more and more. John was happy, though. (I know that Laurens is the one that's 3 years older, but John sounds cute as a shy kid. I also know this is probably crappy, and ive changed some details, such as Lafayette being three years older than Laurens instead of three years younger, and ive made relations between characters that aren't real. George and Martha are incredibly kind and willing to do anything for Alex, but Alex finds it difficult to trust them. He worries that they will become angry with him and throw him out the way the rest of his foster parents did. He finds himself growing more and more depressed and angry, and nothing the Washingtons do can make him feel better. Alex finds himself desparate for acceptance, and ends up in a tumultuous friendship with none other than John Laurens, a gay boy rebelling against his homophobic parents.
