A Day of April (Scömìche)

'I didn't really think, I just crossed the deserted street to reach my goal or, for now, reach the door handle to get inside my nirvana. The door opened faster than my brain had even had time to send the order to my arm to pull it towards me. Consequently, my forehead violently came in collision with it and, as I was backing away from the shock, the person who had hurt me bumped into my shoulder with as much fervor as they had decided to storm out of the restaurant.

"Hey!" I exclaimed, completely startled that a human being could be so careless about others like this.

"What?" he retorted bluntly.

I turned around, forgetting about the door, the restaurant, my hunger, Kirstin leaving me behind, and stared at the petite silhouette already walking away.

"Hey!" I called him once again, stepping forward as to catch him. There was no way I was letting this go. "Not even an apology?"

The man stopped in his track, his back facing me, and he stayed like that for a few seconds. Only a few meters were separating us, gap I could easily close in five steps thanks to my long legs, but before I even had made up my mind, he was the one turning around and walking straight towards me, furious.

That made two of us.'
