When Lucy was younger she was always considered, or looked up to be the star of the family. Perfect body, hair, school records you name it.

Thing is... she was bullied... a lot at her all girls school, only because she was better than them and they couldn't accept that. 

So her mom... before she died from illness, decided to take her out of her school, and put her into another school.

On her last day of school, Her biggest bully crosses the line. She ended up punching her, figuring out she had magical power.

When she gets the paper explaining where she was going.

She had figured out, the only magical school there was, was an all boy magical school.

If you asked someone at Fairytail High who Lucy Heartfelia was, they would have no idea. She is like a shadow, fitting in with the crowd. Lucy has never spoken to anyone or shown her face. Because she is bullied by Natsu Dragneel, the hottest, coolest, smartest guy in the school. He torments her to death. Taking her diary, and reading it in front of the cafeteria, posting flyers up all over the school of a terrible altered photo of her, and giving her mental and physical beat downs. The only thing is, every time Natsu does something horrible, she tolerates it, and forgives him. Because Natsu hit his head one day, and forgot about her. Forgot about them being best friends. (I recently read this story over again and it is FREAKING SO DEPRESSING...all except for the ending. A lot of things happen very quickly but just bind with me.)

Natsu realizes his feelings for her, but isn't sure how to convey them. Will he manage to get through her thick-headed personality, or will he be forever considered "just a friend"? As the characters go through their own social problems, other problems start to arise. Magic manipulation, and an old alumni threaten them as Lucy attempts to recover from her past.
