With Flying Colors

Alternate Universe where you can only see the world in black and white until you meet your soul mate, then you see in color. When your soulmate dies, the colors will slowly fade back to black and white.

Alexa Bailey has lived in Brooklyn, New York since she was 10 years old. She is currently enduring the agony of end stage liver failure. she has to visit cook children's hospital every 3 days for dialysis, so the majority of her life is spent within the four walls of the PEDs floor. Alexa's hair is the color of honey, cascading down her back like the waves of the ocean. Her eyes mimick the color of leaves in the fall, Her pale skin resembles the sand on the beaches of Florida. She loves to read and write, and she, like many other girls, has a passion for shopping.

Ryder Hayes is the opposite of Alexa, or so it seems. He lives fairly close to her in New York, New York, and he is 19 years old. Ryder has the image of a probable bad boy, hair darker than the secrets he's hiding. Loose jeans and a black leather jacket constantly covering the toned body that lies beneath them. Ryder could easily have his fair share of ladies at school, but surprisingly he chooses to wait for his soulmate. Surprisingly, because of his bad boy image, he enjoys reading.
