"Squinty, I... Help me! Please! You have to help me!" Squinty huffed at him as the horse might snort at an annoying fly it couldn't get rid of. "A...a... an apple," he stammered. "I just... stole an apple!" ----

When water is controlled by those in power, even a mere apple can be a catalyst.

For Squinty, it was the start of everything.

Finding Grizzly. Losing Roko. Becoming a Vigil.

Discovering she had the power to become invisible.

For Nalina, the threat of a new Water War was even closer to home; her beloved brother was the one initiating it.

To Drian, water formed the core of his belief system, defined who was - and was not - worthy, and justified the treatment of the underground-dwelling Wellers.

An orphan girl, determined to do what was right.

A princess, petitioning for peace.

An abbot, torn between his religion, and his experience.

Each with an Etching, a unique power that surely makes them special; a tie to something more, something extra, something beyond the Squareworld.

Credits for the cover go to an absolutely amazing cover artist and fellow writer Narcisse Navarre @InkSorcery.

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

**WATTYS 2024 SHORTLISTED** To overthrow the cruel King who brutally slaughtered her foremothers, the last surviving water witch Elara Consuli must team up with novice warrior Juda Vikaris from the Serpent Order and realise an ancient prophecy, before the blood-thirsty ruler discovers her existence and kills her too. Season 1 of The Last Water Witch *** The waters surrounding the Kingdom of Druvaria are deadly. Cursed by the Naiad, the sorceress race wiped out by King Ban-Keren, no one dare step foot into the poisoned waters in fear of certain death. Everyone, that is, apart from Elara Consuli, the last surviving water witch. In Grimefell, the cut-throat slums of the citadel, Elara blends in well with the rest of the accursed thieves and vagabonds lurking in the shadows, but her secret comes with a heavy price. Juda Vikaris, also has a secret of his own. As a skilled novice of the Serpent Order, the brutal assassins loyal to the King, no one escapes his watchful eye or the edge of his blade, and what better way to get revenge for his mother's death at Ban-Keren's hands, than by infiltrating the elite guard itself? But leading a double life is starting to take its toll on Juda as the training of the Order seeks to destroy who he once was and turn him into a cold-blooded, emotionless killer with each passing day. Juda has his own reasons for hating the Naiad and Elara knows all too well that the Serpent Order can never be trusted, but can their mutual hatred of Ban-Keren - and mutual attraction - stop them from betraying one another? In a world of dark secrets and a blood-thirsty King hell-bent on retaining power any way he can, Elara and Juda must decide whether to stand together and fight, or to trust in their natural instincts and remain enemies until the bitter, poisonous end.

𝐒𝐡𝐞 - A Narnian Prophecy || Peter Pevensie by NaturallyNarnian
38 parts Complete
'We fight for the future of Narnia, and for such, the child is pivotal.' There are Prophesies in almost every world. Many are carved into cave walls, many are passed on by wise Elders as entire civilisations hold their breathes and wait hundreds, perhaps thousands of years for something or, more usually, someone. But this particular Narnian Prophecy was sung by the stars and held as whispers in the wind. This Prophecy took but 7 days to begin. The Kings and Queens of Narnia simply couldn't understand why an untrained girl- Lilith, was her name- was sent to them amidst the dawn of battle. Lilith herself knew not what she'd done to deserve being thrown into the eye of a storm. But the Centaurs knew. The Fauns, the Dryads, the Talking Animals- each one of them knew. Lilith did unspeakable things as a guest of Royalty. She won the heart of an imperfect King, said the most unrefined things to incredibly refined people and even attempted murder within the Castle walls. But alas, all are part of a far, far bigger story; The story of 'She'. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ 'Some walkways reminded her of Hogwarts. Some reminded her of Casterly Rock and others of Arthur's Castle in 'Merlin'. But no matter what fictional castle Lilith imagined around her, it was inescapable the fact that this castle, Cair Paravel, was real.' ~~~ #1 thelionthewitchandthewardrobe (24/11/22) WilliamMoseley (31/12/20), Narniaau (23/03/21) LucyPevensie (21/01/21) Pevensie (04/03/22) #2 CSLewis (07/02/23) GoldenAge (20/02/21 & 24/01/23) NarniaFanfiction (07/08/22) #3 SkandarKeynes (27/09/21) CairParavel (08/01/22) #7 Narnia (29/03/21) #32 EdmundPevensie (22/10/22) #43 Prophecy (17/12/21) #59 Medieval (07/05/21)
