Serenity Lux never knew her real parents, she was left at the doorsteps of Mr and Mrs Lux when she was one. At this point Mrs Lux was heavily pregnant with her soon to be 'sister' Skylar. The only thing that Serenity had, which belonged to her real parents was a pendant necklace, that was around her neck when she was found by Mr and Mrs Lux.
Now nearly 17 years later, Serenity and Skylar are sent to private boarding school, where in the first time in their lives they will get to make friends and possibly fall in love, as for all their life they were home schooled, due to the fact they had to keep travelling from one place to another, as they're parents were business people.

Who Was She?
In the 1930s, in a highschool called Ashford Academy. A journalist by the name Esther Charlene shares her experiences at the school. Esther was an interesting one. She always hated school, until sudden mysterious death's happened in the school. She never made a lot of friends, since she wasn't a fan of the friendship thing. Later on she befriends a girl named Heather Marlene. As Esther's friendship grows, what will it grow to? What is Heather Marlene to Esther? To continue, There was a girl whose nose never stopped bleeding. Rumors always filled the school, like a virus. Nobody knows who the girl really is. Esther calls her ' sakodo' but she was given the name slit-faced girl by the people who saw her. But those people that feared or saw her died the next day. Why do people die the same? How do people die? Most importantly, what killed them? One day the girl suddenly disappears. Nobody knows where. A few days after she disappeared, all that was left of her was forgotten. Nobody knew who she was. All traces of her were gone. What really happened to that girl? What was her name? Where did she disappear to? What was the girl's backstory? As the story unfolds. On the night, Alex accidentally reveals a deep secret that he held on to for a couple of years. Will Shelby accept him for who he is, or will she turn him down and leave?
