Jack's relationship with Alex is a little bit weird.
When Alex was ten, Jack was fifteen.
When Alex was thirteen, Jack was eighteen.
When Alex was sixteen, Jack was twenty-one.
Even though they were seven years apart, they were always best friends. It never became a problem until Alex came to the conclusion that he liked Jack. A lot.
And Jack wants to like Alex back, he totally does. But Jack is secretly a really shitty person and he doesn't want to destroy Alex's innocence because that's something Jack never had. Innocence. He will protect Alex's at all costs, even if it means Alex not getting Jack's love.
