A university hosted award winning short-story about two exceptionally talented twins: one with an amazing gift for music, and the other the greatest scientific mind in his generation. Critics of the writing competition had this to say about the story:

- '"Heartsong"... attempts an ambitious narrative structure, and it had some genuinely moving moments... The linkage between science and art was quite moving-the implication that the two songs are the same, with one brother capturing it through art and the other through science, is really a nice touch.'

- "The narrative structure is familiar, but well done, with a narrative frame containing a backstory. We don't the know the significance or what is at stake with any of it until the very end. Sometimes that doesn't work well for a story, but in this case, I think the author pulled it off, due in large part to the compelling description, subject matter, and character development."All Rights Reserved
