Five years ago, Pierce was the first to survive a procedure that turned her into something not-quite-human. And for those five years her only company had been the guards that keep her detained. She takes them under her wing, guiding them through the deadly machine that is Starfall. Although she tries, Pierce can't help but develop a fondness toward her new charges, and they become more than just players in her game. When two mysterious figures show up at her cell vowing to help her escape, she makes a single promise: She will get each and every one of them out alive.
