Suffering from selective mutism, Brielle ghosts through life with her mouth locked and emotions hidden. Being more than content with living within the confines of her desolate bedroom, she slaves away six years of her life over her computer; learning algorithms and codes and hardly being bothered by her online schoolwork.

However, her once harmless hacking hobby soon morphs into a treacherous job that puts her life and sanity on the line. As Brielle jumps from lie to lie in an attempt to keep every part of her life balanced, that normalcy is disrupted when, after six years, she is forced to attend public school once again.

And then, things grow worse when she runs into a quirky, intrusive boy from her past who weasels his nose through all of her defenses, unlocking sealed emotions along the way.

How is she supposed to resist the siren that lures her to her demise?
