Jemma Knight is high school student. She's not your ordinary girl. No. Because Jemma is very special. When she was young, Jemma was in an accident that caused extensive damage to her brain. Everyone thought she wasn't gonna make it and even if she did, she was going to be a vegetable for the rest of her life. Although the odds were against her, Jemma not only survived but she made a full recovery. However, something unexplainable happened when Jemma woke up. She could hear people's thoughts. Admitting this to the doctor's earned her a trip to the psychiatrist and later a therapist. So Jemma has learned to keep her mouth shut and only acts when she absolutely needs to. When someone from her tragic past appears again in her life, Jemma knows she will have to do whatever she can to stop them from accomplishing what they had failed to do before.

Growing up in a toxic environment, sixteen-year-old Jay Foster has always had psychological problems, coupled with a quick temper. But one night something happens which finally pushes him over the edge, and as a result, he leaves his house the next morning with two things: his mother's gun and a plan. Living with a neglectful and drug addicted mother wasn't easy for Jay, and it definitely didn't help that his father abandoned the family while he was still a child. He harbored a hatred toward his parents, and that hatred extended to almost everyone and everything around him, producing a very troubled and damaged young kid. As Jay enters high school, he becomes very intrigued with one of his classmates. Kind of obsessed, actually. Her name: Mikayla Keeler. Mikayla is very unique, and like Jay, she doesn't seem to fit in with her contemporaries. Instead, the two of them keep each other company, and their friendship very quickly escalates into a romantic and intimate relationship. Despite having Mikayla, Jay's troubles continue to burden him. He and Mikayla are fighting habitually, his home life is still unbearable, and his time at school is hardly any better, made worse by a bully named Calvin. Their mutual dislike of one another leads to a lot of hostility, routinely leading to Jay being sent to his school's principal. One confrontation in particular goes much too far, resulting in Jay's expulsion from school. With everything seemingly piling up, Jay is very close to his breaking point, and late one night he is blindsided by the unthinkable, pushing him much too far and effectively planting in his mind a cruel and horrific plan for revenge.

The Moonstone Girls: Book One

10 parts Complete

Jemma, a young Pakistan girl with hyperacusis and her father's slave Saskia with low vision and a stutter must flee Jemma's soon to be abusive husband and somehow avoid noise traveling to Europe. But along the way the girls discover a feral child, learn that they have magical abilities, and that they are from another planet. Will the girls find their way home? This book is for grades 6-9 because of violence and strong language. This is a powerful novel that combines sci-fi, real life events, scientific theories, friendship, disabilities, romance, magic, and family all into one. It also shows the power of the mind to manifest anything. It is about perseverance endurance kindness and finding yourself. It shows that through the darkest time as long as you keep hope you can accomplish your dreams. It also uses a metaphors to represent the injustice in the world and that we have to fight to abolish to be treated fairly. This is a heart wrenching novel filled with pain and sadness but at its heart this book is about the magic that lives inside everyone. I also wrote this book to make people more aware of the disorders and disabilities that a lot of people face. The disorders and disabilities that the girls in this book have I also suffer from myself and I feel that the public should be more aware of these conditions.
