Kacy Forrest and Devon Aberforth had been roommates, and best friends, for years, but she soon discovers he's been hiding a secret from her. A Super big secret that is. She accepts who he is, but that won't keep her out of trouble when the public gets wind that small time writer Kacy Forrest associates with the cities very own super-villain.
*This is a test chapter, I'm deciding if I want to write an entire story. Reviews would be appreciated as I am very indecisive. Thank you!

At Arm's Length
Temper was always different, but not for all the normal reasons. For one thing, she had fiery red hair. That wasn't the only reason though- she also had a strange power, the power to control fire. She could create it, move it, and was immune to it. She could even absorb it. But her life wasn't all peaches and cream. When she was young, she was taken from her family because of her power. They probably thought she was dead and she didn't know if they were alive either. She escaped five years ago when she was twelve, but hadn't gone back to her family for fear of their safety. Now she was seventeen, living in the streets. Her life was bleak, that is until she met Nick. All she knew was that he was after her, but she had no idea why. Kayley wasn't normal and to prove it she is invited to a school with people just as weird as she was. Kayley is put in a group of twelve and in result revived life long friends. They aren't in school for long before they get trapped and have to find a away to escape and come to acceptance with there gifts and flaws. The perfect timing (In Editing)
I'm not like wonder woman, supergirl or catwoman. The only similarity we share is that we all have an extraordinary ability and are females. Many people would say having superpowers was a gift from god and the best thing that could ever happen to you. But not for me, being able to freeze time was more of a burden, because I couldn't control it and it had the worst timing to appear. I also didn't think about being a superhero and rescuing the world from the bad. The only thing I want is to be left alone and get over with my last year of high school. But of course everything came different and it all started with me attracting accidentally the attention of Reece Matthews. Shortlisted for the Open Novella Contest 2019 • Being a Supervillain is tough. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow?
