Melita is living in Britain in the year 1939. Life for her, is amazing. She's been married to the love of her life for the past 20 years, and has four beautiful children: 19 year old Elaine, 17 year old Maxwell, 16 year old Conrad, and 14 year old Faye. Then tragedy strikes. World War 2 breaks out in England, and suddenly Melita is barely scrapping by. Her beloved husband, Adrian, is picked for the draft and called to fight, leaving her alone.
