Mark has a mildly horrifying revelation that he might have actually hurt Jack a little bit. If your best friend offered to marry you, even as a joke, why in the holy hell would you say no? 

(Can be read as slash, though it kind of isn't romance-y. I ship it, so I imply it; but they are still only officially best friends in this fiction piece.
