I was supposed to pass this short story to my club in school, The Scribbler's Society but I wasn't able to. It was just sitting there on the side waiting for it to be recognized again. It's a bit deep and dark-ish... There isn't a plot, a theme nor a setting so really it's not a short story...

This is a novella I had to write for school and I would like some feed back. EXCERPT Pain is something I've become very accustomed to. Whether I like it or not. It sounds mental though, I know. My biggest fear is being alone, even though I already am. As I walk into the school I see them, my 'friends'. They're sitting in the quad all chatting to one another. I try to turn around before one sees me but I see one waving me over so I'm left with no choice but to go. "Hey guys" I greet them with a shaky voice. So if anyone has feedback for me or just wants to talk comment or message me anytime and I'll get back to you as soon an I can. Also I need a good book cover so if you send me one I'll use it but in the mean time I'll be looking for one.

I let a smirk take it's place on my face as I sauntered over towards him. He looked very amused, but I knew what I was doing. "I heard you're a player." I stated innocently, looking deeply into his cerulean eyes. "What's it to you?" his eyes squinted together as if trying to figure out my intentions. I rubbed my hands together and chuckled humorlessly. "Well I'm a player too, and I want to play a little game." He crossed his arms and leaned back against the lockers. "Do tell." I could tell he was playing along, thinking I was joking around and flirting as always. He was so wrong. In fact, I'd never been more serious in my life. "That's the fun part. We're going to be exclusive." I noted gesturing to the both of us. "We'll do everything like a real couple. Kiss, hold hands, go on dates; the whole package. The first person to fall in love loses."

This short story is based around the loss of a friend, and coping with that loss with therapy. ~~~ I placed the letter back down onto the small coffee table, wiping away the tears that rested in the corner of my eyes. "How do you feel, Samuel?" the doctor asked, hovering her pen over a piece of paper. "I feel the same way I did the last time you made me read that letter" I responded back, a slight bitterness in my voice. "And how did you feel?" "Lost. Lonely. Hurt. Betrayed." I listed, watching as she wrote it all down, listening as the pen scratched against the paper roughly. "Anything else?" She pressed on, staring down on me like an ant. "I lost my best friend. How do you think I fucking feel?" The tone of my voice made her flinch slightly, but she quickly regained her professionalism. "Samuel, I need you to calm down. Shouting at me isn't going to do you any good". She pushed her glasses further up her face as she scribbled more onto the page. "Shouting?" I scoffed, "I wasn't shouting, and I have the right to be angry at someone who's forcing me to re-read my dead best friends suicide note everytime I'm forced to see them". ~~~ [started 26/03/2021]

There had been missing cases happening around a small city in Maine, Eros, in which twenty-five missing cases had resulted into murder, all bodies being found, twisted in ways, covered in ink and some sort of rope that had materialized similar to octopus tentacles, wrapped around each individual body. The detectives working on the unexpected murders just concluded that everyone just dies from a new species of an animal, but in reality, it's something way different. It's caused by a very abnormal and twisted looking monster by the name of 'The Rippler.' There was only one group, the Numbskulls, that had been brave enough to even try and defeat 'The Rippler' as they had figured clues along the way for solving the murder cases. See Phillip 'Skullram' Lionel, the leader of 'Numbskulls', and his group along the troubles in both high school and other places, mainly their meeting spots as conflicts between members nearly take it a bit too far...

Here meet the one and only Cayden Donovan, he's not your only typical Greek god looking guy but also has an incredibly cold nature. He's not the one to stay back when he's scared, he fights and ends it ....ends his fears and the fear here is not any kind of failure but instead, it's the past and his search for the people in it, he is secretive and loves to keep it that way. The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. She's too innocent. *Mature content* {Just a quick update, I am basically rewriting the story. I wrote it when I was in 8th grade and it makes me cringe every time I try to go back and edit it so keep in mind that it'll get better}

No guy would ever be this close to me in real life, let alone me being able to handle it; I would've been so timid and afraid. But this was the dream world. I could speak and be as brave as I wanted to. "Yeah, I am," I said. "What are you gonna do about it?" He paused as his eyes looked between the two of mine. Then, he smirked and swiftly closed the gap between our lips. ~~ In a small town in New York, Hazel is your average quiet type. In a school full of clichés, she falls perfectly under the category of "nerd" and has her own little nerdy group of people she loves to hang around. They respect the fact that she's non-verbal. The thing that plagues her is her ability to go through anybody's and everybody's dreams which has a nasty side effect--she lost her ability to speak in the real world. This is not something she can control, nor something that's necessarily dangerous. It just happens. One second she's in darkness, the next second she happens to be in someone's dream. But, when she stumbles into a dream of a guy she never knew existed in her grade of 500 students, albeit his popular status, both her worlds get flipped upside down.

As I walk into the school, he spots me and immediately starts talking to me. I brush past him, ignoring him, but today is definitely not my lucky day... He grabs my arm firmly, stopping me, and turns me to face him. The pain on my face contorts his expression. "What's wrong, Emma? Lost your voice, lizard?" I don't look at him; my head is hung low once again. "When I'm talking, you need to look at me!" he shouts, lifting my chin so I have to meet his gaze. I look at him, but it's not with innocence; it's with anger. "Oh, look, Emma's angry, everyone!" he mocks. "Just leave me alone," I say, meeting his eyes as I pull my arm free from his grip and walk away. He stares at me, shocked, as do all the kids around us, not expecting what I just did.
