An asteroid heads for Earth and the humans are doing all they can to survive it. However, before impact, clouds of red gas envelop the earth, mutating every human on the planet.

Then, a race of aliens called the Terran appear and take the humans to the Terran Planets. Oh, and they're involved in a war with some other aliens called the Kedon Centauri. 

This is the story of Jake MacLeen, a teenager who lost his father in the process of evacuation from the planet.
