After loosing Phoenix Squadron at the hands of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Hera fears for the worst for the struggling Rebellion. Kanan senses her distress and decides to help cheer her up with some memories from their past before they fought the Empire.

This is a oneshot, there will not be additional chapters.
This is a Kanera onshot, if you can not tell.
This is set right after the season three finale, spoilers will be mentioned, if you are not caught up I do not advise reading.

They are trying to rescue wookies, but the mission goes wrong. The captain, Hera sends Ezra to warn Kanan, Zeb, Sabine, and Chopper. They all successfully make it out, except for Ezra. Zeb leaves him behind and the crew never comes back for him. Ezra manages to escape on his own, but his trust in people no longer exists. Some time later, Ezra meets up with the crew yet again. (So this story is from Spark of Rebellion, but the crew doesn't go back for Ezra.)Complete
