Once upon a time, as most stories begin with, in the hidden heart of Ireland, there was a very handsome prince named Sean. He was rich beyond compare, he taxed village people to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects. All though Sean had everything he needed and wanted, he was selfish, greedy, and unkind. One night, an old beggar woman came to his castle, seeking shelter from the bitter storm. She had nothing but a single rose she offered him. From her old and ugly appearance, Sean turned the woman away. The woman warned Sean not be deceived by haggard appearances...for beauty is found within. When he dismissed the woman again, the woman's appearance changed only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. Sean begged for forgiveness but it was to late, for the enchantress has only seen selfishness in Sean's heart. As punishment, she turned him into a hideous demon and placed a spell on the castle and all who lived there. 
   As days lead into years, Sean and his servants were forgotten by the world for the enchantress erased all memory of them. And the rose the enchantress gave Sean was truly a enchanted rose. If he could learn to love another, (a male or female), and earn their love in return before the last petal falls, the curse will be broken. If not, Sean will remain a demon, for all time.

The prince nearly hated his staff, even when they'd done nothing wrong - and were only trying to meet his needs. One night, during one of the Prince's courting events - a special type of ball, where dozens of young woman would dress up and dance with the prince, in an attempt to win over his heart and become queen to the Kingdom - An uninvited guest arrived. It was a poor, shivering, elderly woman seeking shelter from the bitter winter storm. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince dismissed the woman. As a gift, the old woman offered the prince a single rose, but when he dismissed her again, the woman's outer appearance melted away. Only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late - for she could see there was no love in his heart. The enchantress cursed the prince, transforming him into a hideous beast - and if he was unable to learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal from the rose she offered had fallen, he would remain a beast forever. But the enchantress also placed the curse upon his innocent castle staff, who were transformed into antiques; suffering for the prince's mistake(s) in small, rusting, metallic bodies. Life was hard enough for the staff, but now - it was unbearable. ~ This story will go through the staff's struggles before, DURING, and after they were cursed. It will also fill plot holes and extend the ending of Beauty And The Beast. A majority of this story is a prequel, and will fall into a bit of a sequel as well, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

He begged the phoenix for help, but because of her innocents in being a phoenix she could not help in her current form without being corrupt herself. So, she did the unthinkable. She abandoned her only love to bond with the chief's unborn daughter. Giving the village a change to preserve goodness, for not just themselves but for the rest of eternity. But the phoenix would not be strong until the human that possesses it was. The phoenix was killed before reaching her full potential, but the phoenix was born again. A man that had fallen in love with the girl sought out the phoenix's lost love knowing he was the only one on the earth that could morn the innocence the world had lost. The beast grew fond of the man and struck a bargain that if the man would accept the dragon, the dragon would infuse himself with man giving him the power to save the phoenix. The man being human would eventually grow old and perish, so the man agreed that not just him but the bloodlines to follow would become vessels for the dragon to preserve itself eternally to save that which he loves. The bloodlines were separated through the ages leaving the phoenix helpless and the dragon bitter. Then one day, a green haired city kid that was yet to find his dragon found his phoenix in English class and stole her first kiss."
