Can You Resist Me?

Sapphire Hall is sick and tired of her relatives looking at her in mock pity as they tell her she should lose weight or else she won’t find a guy who would drop down on his knee and ask her for marriage especially now that’s she’s old. Not that she think 26 is old, but apparently to them, it is. Now all she wants to do is find a guy just to shove him on their faces. Should be easy huh? But HELL NO. And now she has 3 problems:

1) She doesn’t even remember how to date anymore.

2) No guy seems to be interested in her.

3) She’s fat. Well, maybe not as fat as she was before but still she wasn’t as slim as her friends. Which seems to be highly related to problem number 2 which resulted to problem number 1.

And then there’s Hunter Cole who would do anything just for his Mother to stop introducing him to her friends’ daughters in hopes of him settling down. 30 is too young to think about settling down. He was still having fun with casual relationships. It just sucks for him that his mother doesn’t understand that, and she thinks he’s got commitment issues and threatens to throw his ass on therapy sessions. And he had no doubts that she would despite him being a foot bigger than her. Now, he’s got the most brilliant plan, the only problem is how and where to find the perfect girl for it. A girl who knows the deal and won’t be expecting a diamond ring on her finger after a month.

Enter one drunken kiss, a suggestion that seemed to be smart at the time, chaotic families, crazy friends, bitter ex-girlfriends, throw in a lot of horror movies, dating lessons, cake baking and a big wedding coming up, will Sapphire and Hunter reach the end still sane? Will the guy with an ego that could fill a whole room and the girl struggling to keep her insecurities at bay be able to resist the temptation? The temptation of breaking all the rules and walls they set to find what they’ve been actually looking for all these time.
