This Linstead story picks up after 301. Erin is struggling to come to terms with the events of the last few months. Can she move forward and build a life without Nadia? Can Jay open up about his own past and show Erin what real love looks like? This is a multi chapter story. (I do not own Chicago PD or any of its characters)

Unconnected victims of all ages and genders go missing around Chicago, Hank brings in the best of the best. The departments future rides on how this case is handled and the new member is not warmly welcomed except from one who takes a shine to her, like a duck to water. Jay is forced to navigate an ever growing love for a complicated girl with a sketchy background. Alongside trying to solve the hardest case of any of their careers.

Since I really like Linstead and there is a lot that the two have never experienced together, I thought I could write it myself. It's an alternate start for PD. I don't own any of the original characters.

Erin Lindsay and Jay Halstead have been partners for five years now and everyone in the unit can see that Jay has fallen hard for her, except Erin. Jay knew from the moment that he laid eyes on her that she was the one. So, when the opportunity to go undercover presents itself, Jay jumps at the chance and nominates himself and Erin for the task. When things go horribly wrong, Erin will be forced to confront her feelings for her partner, but will it be too late?

When erin and jay move in together, not as a couple, but as friends to help one another out, will things get hard when one of them brings home someone else, or will they realize they were meant to be just friends. The highs and lows, battles, fights, and tears will battle out the laughs, smiles, and love, but let's see whats next for linstead.
