Xylia Tanner is your average teenage girl. She struggles with a variety of things including her faith in God. Sometimes, this struggle is too great and causes her to fall flat on her face. All the while, she's struggling to adapt at a new church that is much different from the one she was used to. Then Xylia meets Ian Harris, a boy with a lot worse problems than she has. He's quiet, withdrawn, and a huge troublemaker. But one night changed her entire opinion of him. Now, she's trying to connect with him. But in order to connect with him, she must also connect with some of the others that lie outside your usual christian group. All the while, Xylia must be careful to not step over the line and allow herself to be tempted by her actions. Only with the help of God can she save these lives. Will she be able to do it? Or will everything come crashing down.

An almost very unlikely pair. • "You don't understand how important she is to me" I clenched my jaw, feeling the urge to throw something. "She's everything to me and I just...I just ruined it!" My voice ripped through my throat as I flung the glass of whiskey at the wall and I watched it shatter while the golden liquid stained the neat white walls. "She's gonna be fine, Theodore" Asher said with a somber and empathetic expression on his face and I scoffed. "Fuck yes, she's gonna be fine! But what about me?" I tilted my head at him and he inhaled. "You'll be fine, Theo." he spoke so softly I wished I was that calm. I wished I could be. "Not without her I'm not" I dropped back in my chair, my hands shaking violently and she wasn't around to help me get through it. PS: Lyrics of a song by Nasty C- Flaws and All.
