He was already broken. He though himself as a nobody. But he masked it with a smile. Then he saved the world. He made friends, family, and even a girlfriend. But they broke him ounces more. They betrayed him. Now he is broken again. Now he is a nobody. But he masked it with hate. He did the only thigh he though of. He ran. Unlike all the other times he ran, Chaos was there. Chaos offer him a new life. A life with out pain, a life to be a somebody. Now here he is. A somebody, he has a new life. But when the people who hurt need help, will he be there? 'He' is no other then Leo Valdez.

Percy and Annabeth are preparing to go to college in New Rome, Piper and Jason want to spend time together, as do Frank and Hazel. And Will wants Nico to start taking a little more responsibility for his health. Good times. But a new threat is on the rise, one that no one could foresee. Nothing involving monsters or ancient gods, no. Corruption. Somewhere in New Rome, a son of Ares discovers a loophole, a flaw if you may will in the Roman camp's governing and quickly makes his way to a high stand of power over the camp. He is in control of the camp, immediately abolishing Frank and Reyna as Praetor. His first decree?... wiping out the children of the eldest gods. She shook her head to clear the fog that had settled and turned to him. Leo saw pure panic in her eyes, and his brows furrowed in concern. "Everything's fine." She convinced. Leo didn't buy it. Nor did she. - "You said whenever I need you." "Whenever you need me, Amor." - "Everything is how it should be. She told me, she told me everything. This is what must happen. And you're going to be hers. You are the downfall of the world. You need to be the downfall she wants. You will be the extra." - "So, you found out your truth." The voice spoke "For years you wondered why. Why your supposed loving mother did this to you. To your little family." the voice continued. It seemed to echo all around her. Every mission felt like another chance he wouldn't come back. But while I worried about him, something began happening to me: the voices, the visions, the emotions I didn't understand, especially when it came to that blue-masked turtle.
