Finn has dissociative identity disorder, (DID, commonly known as a split personality)  his other personality, Shane, is a wise-cracker who enjoys insulting other people. 


They couldn't be more different. 


When the train Finn is on crashes, these two personalities jump back and forth from one to the other. You never know. It could be Shane one minute, Finn the next. This soon spills out into the real world, unlike before when Shane was a mere voice inside Finn's head, causing chaos.
