Following the events of the last book, the Zena has been trying to repair from their last battle. Although the Battle of Bones was a victory on their end, a lot of damage had been done and Braunick's strength had revealed itself to them.

The Zena seems to be in a good place in the war-until Ismara leaves the Zena. With Fáolar and Ismara both gone, can Agent 34 and Marque find them without a strange and suspicious elf capturing them beforehand?
