Romy Silvers is the only surviving crew-member of a spaceship travelling to a new planet, on a mission to establish a second home for humanity. Alone in space, she is the loneliest girl in the universe until she hears about a new ship which has launched from Earth with a single passenger on board. A boy called J.

Their only communication is via email and due to the distance between them, their messages take months to transmit. And yet Romy finds herself falling in love.

But what does Romy really know about J? And what do the mysterious messages which have started arriving from Earth really mean?

Sometimes, there's something worse than being alone...

✬ 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔻𝕒𝕣𝕜 & 𝕃𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕊𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤 ✬ There is a crucial moment in one's life that determines the outcome of everything; well, as books and movies would have you believe. But Monica McCaslin didn't think she would ever be one of those people, would ever have one of those moments. Brought up in a small suburb, with everything she could ever ask for, there wasn't much left for her to want. Monica's ordinary life was to go as such- follow her high school sweetheart to college, graduate, get married, have two kids; the cookie cutter life. White picket fence included. What she did not expect was to meet a dark-haired stranger sitting all alone on a park bench, at that very same school she was to attend with said future husband. After a brief conversation, just a handful of words between them, Monica decides to go on a cross-country road trip with him; putting her faith and future in the hands of a stranger. Thinking she'd soon regret her decision and the life she left behind, she realizes she doesn't at all. Free of expectation and a future that she thought was set in stone, she begins to find the woman she was truly meant to be. State by state, with each border they cross, Monica liberates her true self. 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ➃ 𝕠𝕗 ➃ - ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕥𝕖 - ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ This is a work of fiction. Solitary Star

25 parts Complete Mature

*Solitary Star* follows Meira Bat-El, a compassionate yet resilient teacher, as she sacrifices her life on Earth to join the Convergence Compact's Interstellar Genetic Continuity Intiative. Driven by a need to secure life-saving medical care for her family, she is thrust into an interstellar bureaucracy that values her DNA more than her humanity. Confined to a sprawling, impersonal starbase, Meira faces endless delays, cryptic instructions, and the suffocating weight of isolation. As she navigates the sterile corridors of her new reality, Meira forges unexpected connections with fellow volunteers and unravels unsettling truths about the program. Her resolve is tested as she contemplates the cost of her choice: has she traded her freedom and identity for the chance to save her family, or is this a sacrifice worth bearing? Set against a backdrop of vast alien starbases and deeply personal struggles, *Solitary Star* is a poignant exploration of agency, family, and the human spirit's ability to endure even when surrounded by the void. Balancing the hope of connection with the ache of separation, the story weaves together themes of duty, identity, and the search for meaning in an indifferent universe.
