One warlord overthrows an empire. Two factions go to war. And three criminals must protect the last heir to the kingdom with their lives. 
Ever since Daren Foster can remember he has served the high king of Cathedra as a lowly messenger. But when his beloved king is killed Daren is entrusted with an impossible task: Finding and protecting the king's daughter. The apocalypse is fast approaching as knights ride to battle and myths come to life. However, the kingdom's only defense is a messenger boy and lost princess. Peace is won by the blood of heroes. But when all the heroes die it is up to Daren and his friends to save whatever is left of their burning world. 
One king dies alone. Two youths can ascend the throne. But three secrets will have to be known for Daren to find the King of Crows.
