He's grown to be more bitter as his wife had died in child birth less than two years prior while having their third child. It's hatred at first sight, but it will eventually change into something none of them would ever have imagined. Set in the 18th century, the two political enemies will have to overcome their own fears and to hide their love, while trying to build their new nation. Then, he winked and turned to Burr again, acting as if nothing had happened. Alex abruptly retreated into the deep shadows of the alley, breathing hard and sweating as if he'd just had an epiphany.
