She was raised  by her grandma because her parents left when she was one, she loved her like her own. 

She has a best friend, well more like a big brother, names Alex. They were always looking after each other. 

Although Laylah didn't have everything, she was happy with her little, normal life.

Although that all changed when her and Alex are about to be hit by a car and her birthmarks turned into actual wings and protected them!

At that moment Laylah's simple life, turned not so simple.
