"Filthy rogue, I'm tired of your kind trekking in here like nothing's gonna happen. You'll learn!" The man yanked on my arm, throwing me on the filthy ground. I could feel the bruises forming on my hands and knees.
I began to panic, tears began to fall faster than I realized. "I-I'm sorry! I really don't know what you're talking about. Believe me, I can leave," it seemed my begging was beginning to get through to him.
The man hesitated, thought for a second, and then kicked me in the ribs, "Disgusting rat! You think I'm going to believe your load of bull?"
He left, he actually left. I've never been so happy to be alone. I laid on the floor of the... I don't even know... a cage? It was large and slimy, dark and drab. After days of being left alone here I began to believe I was gonna be left here to starve.
Then I heard footsteps. Faint, far, slow, but they were there. The steps got louder, until I heard a growl, feral and demanding. The steps became stomps, faster and growing in volume. A man burst in front of me, the world stopped turning.
