Julia Tanner is a young adult, attending Young Scholars University (YSU) with her best friend, Maria Maxwell.
She is about to turn 19 when her father decides to visit his favorite casino, a week before, feeling lucky.
He ends up getting drunk on a winning streak and challenges anyone who thinks they can beat him in any game they choose; as a reward, getting any one thing he could offer. 

Hearing this, the King of all Vampires decided to challenge him, winning his own game three times in a row. He left shortly after, saying that he would collect his prize the following week. Julia.

Julia is now forced to leave her human life behind to enter the dark world, where the supernatural exist, and marry one of the king's sons.
