Based on the short story by David Lubar, the story follows Chris, a young man who had discovered the cure for vampirism-before a group of vampires captured him and used it against his will. When he is rescued by a vampire hunter known as Jay over 1,000 years later, he is tasked with perfecting his cure for vampirism to end the tyranny of vampires everywhere-and recovering from over 1,000 years of torture, starvation, and psychological trauma.
